As simple as deep groove ball bearings, what are the differences between factories.

Bearing should be a standard parts, there are also different quality levels to classified, people know as P0, P6, P5…(ABEC-1, ABEC-3, ABEC-5…), some senior customer might know noise, virbation, roundness, roughness, hardness.

But many more customers know only good or bad.

SKF, INA, TIMKEN are Good, other less famous, maybe a little worse, those less known to them, possibly bad.

So is Chinese bearings good or bad? China is the world factory, even SKF, NTN, TIMKEN has a lot co-operations with Chinese bearing/housing factoreis.

Let’s say, as simple as deep groove ball bearings, what are the differences between factories.

It’s not two or three standards that Chinese factories are following. To say a bearing is good or bad, there are many factor to consider. let’s simple say below:

1. Material& Craft
From which steel factory they got the material. Material prices from different steel factories has trimendous difference and quality varies too.

Some factories using pipes to make the rings some use tube material forged parts, price difference is also very big.

 

2. Structure
Chinese GB standard is widely mentioned, but now even findbearing has to make clear which standard, from old Dongfang factory or Cixin factory or standard from another factory.

Stealing material has been widely used and accepted, for normal requirements/usage, maybe only difference is the shorter life length(life length also influenced by other factors), for some small quantity demands, pipe material are hardly get.

And there could be：
less stealing material structure.
mid stealing material structure.
big stealing material structure.eg. over 0.8mm thickstolen from 6203 inner ring/outer ring.

Even in European market,less~mid stealingstructure small deep groove ball bearings are widely used now.

3. Accuracy
P0(ABEC-1), P6(ABEC-3), P5…(ABEC-5…)
Less~mid stealing material could also be ABEC-3.

4. Noise & virbation
Z1, Z2, Z2V1, Z2V2, Z3V3
EMQ bearing ususally require test on this. Still a lot of difference on this, some factories are doing 100% checking on Z and V. some doing selective checking, the failure rate also varies.

Still more things to judge a bearing.
heat treatment, Hardness, residual magnetism, roughness, crafts, parts quality, eg. sealing, steel ball.
